Can you believe there’s only one more weekend left in November? The weeks are going by so fast, I hope you’re making the most of them – that’s part of the reason I share these posts, because whether you’re looking for a date night idea or something to do while catching up with friends, there’s always a way to make memories in Perth.
Do you ever add something to a list that you’ve already done, just so you can cross it off? In this case it’s a good thing, because it means even though we’re only a couple of weeks into summer, I’ve already made a good start on my bucket list.
So, if you’re stuck for things to do in Perth this summer (or need some inspiration regardless of where you are in the world) take a look below! Make sure you comment and let me know once you’ve started ticking things off.
The Sou’West Vintage Fest has got to be one of the most colourful, chilled, entertaining days in WA’s south west. Aiming to bring together a community of vintage lovers to celebrate all things retro, the full-day event held every year in November is jam packed with good, ole fashioned fun. This year’s theme was beach party so the place was awash with bright leis, Hawaiian shirts and old-school surfboards. With plenty of family-friendly activities during the day and turning up the heat at night, it’s quickly become one of my favourite events and something I look forward to every year.
It’s that crazy time of year – I bet your calendar is getting booked up, but make sure you fit some of these fun things in among the family events and work lunches. It’s only fitting as we head towards Christmas that there’s tonnes of eating and drinking to be done, but I’ve also lined up some incredible markets, a moving play about friendship and vampires, a chance to get among all things cruelty-free, and a summer street party.
Dogs! Wine! Vintage goodness! Yep this week there really is something for everyone, whether you want to take a road trip down south for one of my favourite events of the year, or roll up to the foreshore and have the best of the south west region brought to you. Chuck in one of the first outdoor movies of the season and a fabulous brunch with drag queens, and this weekend is looking pretty damn impressive!
It’s set to be a glorious, sunny week in Perth, which means no excuses to stay home (unless, of course, you’re mid-way through an amazing book because then I totally understand!). As always there’s plenty of things to see, eat and do around ton – including another hawkers market to dazzle your tastebuds, a handmade market where you can get a start on your Christmas shopping, a unique photographic exhibition, a fun night of burlesque, and the chance to meet one of Australia’s most famous dogs!
I’m keeping things short and sweet this week, but don’t worry I’ve still got the goods to make it easy to plan an epic week in Perth. Heading up this week is a standout film festival, another opportunity to eat delicious foods in a bustling outdoor market setting, a good excuse to visit Fremantle if you haven’t been in a while, a wine tasting event with over 250 wines to try, and the lowdown on all the best Halloween events.
