What’re your plans for the December holidays? I know they’re still a little while away, but I’ve decided to make this my last 5 Things post for the year as things are already starting to get hectic around here. But don’t worry, I’m sharing an extra dose of goodness this week to make up for it, and I’ll be back in early 2018 with more things to see, eat and do in Perth. So here we go – this last one for 2017 is a good one, with the best food and shopping event, salty markets, handmade markets and winery markets, a chance to learn how to make macarons, a classy concert in the city, and a night of big laughs.
The countdown to the holidays is on, and it’s well and truly time to get into the Christmas spirit. Whether that means taking your pup for a photoshoot with Santa and browsing a fabulous twilight Christmas artisan market, or just enjoying the summer vibes, there’s plenty to see, eat and do this week!
Are you a Perth local, did you move here with your family, or are you winging it here on your own? I’d love to know more about my readers! I’m a born and bred Perthite, but both of my parents are English and moved here with their families when they were young. I’m so glad they all decided to settle in WA and that I get to call Perth home. There’s so much happening this week with summer cranking and the Christmas holidays on the way that it was hard to limit this to just five things. But here are my favourites – a doggone good time with Perth pugs, an evening enjoying French food in the Swan Valley, the kick off of my favourite open air cinemas, and enough handmade Christmas gift ideas to take care of everyone on your list.
Can you believe there’s only one more weekend left in November? The weeks are going by so fast, I hope you’re making the most of them – that’s part of the reason I share these posts, because whether you’re looking for a date night idea or something to do while catching up with friends, there’s always a way to make memories in Perth.
It’s that crazy time of year – I bet your calendar is getting booked up, but make sure you fit some of these fun things in among the family events and work lunches. It’s only fitting as we head towards Christmas that there’s tonnes of eating and drinking to be done, but I’ve also lined up some incredible markets, a moving play about friendship and vampires, a chance to get among all things cruelty-free, and a summer street party.
Dogs! Wine! Vintage goodness! Yep this week there really is something for everyone, whether you want to take a road trip down south for one of my favourite events of the year, or roll up to the foreshore and have the best of the south west region brought to you. Chuck in one of the first outdoor movies of the season and a fabulous brunch with drag queens, and this weekend is looking pretty damn impressive!
It’s set to be a glorious, sunny week in Perth, which means no excuses to stay home (unless, of course, you’re mid-way through an amazing book because then I totally understand!). As always there’s plenty of things to see, eat and do around ton – including another hawkers market to dazzle your tastebuds, a handmade market where you can get a start on your Christmas shopping, a unique photographic exhibition, a fun night of burlesque, and the chance to meet one of Australia’s most famous dogs!
