If you see my workspace, you’ll know straight away I’m an organised chaos kind of person. While I am slowly doing my best to declutter and start letting go of unimportant material possessions, I am insanely far from being a minimalist or having a Pinterest worthy space (and side note: I’m totally OK with that). Just like life itself, my desk and my mind can get a little messy at times. None of this stops me from banging out work to a deadline or remembering important things, but I do have to work at staying organised so that I have more time to focus on being creative and kicking butt at all the things I chose to do.

Beauty Bites November

I don’t know about you, but I am always on the lookout for recommendations when it comes to beauty and skincare. In the past I’ve tended to stick to one or two brands for fear of wasting money on something that just doesn’t work for me, but these days I read a lot more about products and am more willing to branch out and try new things. In fact I love nothing more than wandering through Priceline or Chemist Warehouse looking for new goodies to try, so I wanted to share my thoughts on a few products. You can expect to see these mini reviews on a monthly basis, so let me know what you think!

A little life update – part 2

Hi guys!

It’s been five weeks now since I had carpal tunnel release surgery and I wanted to let you all know things are going really well! The good news is the pain and numbness I was experiencing has completely gone away – woohoo! Unfortunately the bad news is I’m still pretty sore and weak due to the surgeon having to cut through what I understand is a pretty big ligament to get to the nerve. This can apparently take anywhere from 6 weeks up to 6 months to heal up, so here’s hoping that in a couple more weeks I start seeing some big improvements on that front.

What does this mean for the blog? I’m launching back into it as of today – it just might mean it takes me a little longer to write posts than usual! I’ve got a whole bunch of stuff up my sleeve that I can’t wait to share, especially my very first bloggers event that’s happening tomorrow! Make sure you jump over to my Instagram or Snapchat (username: hvnstourniquet) to see all of the highlights from the Bloggers United Au event.

I’m also working on the website for my newest venture, Emdash Media (I’ll let you all know when that is up and running) and have just started my Social Media Mastery certification. It’s all happening!

More from me real soon! x

A little life update

Just popping by to let you guys know I’ll be taking a short break from blogging over the coming weeks. Things have been a little quiet recently and will be for another few weeks as I’m having carpal tunnel release surgery tomorrow. I’ll still be posting over on Instagram and Snapchat (username: hvnstourniquet) to help prevent cabin fever while I recover, if you’d like to come along for the ride. I can’t wait to get stuck back into things in a few weeks! Wish me luck x

Sometimes, life is horrible and heartbreaking. Whether you’re watching the news with sadness as the world grieves, or going through something a lot closer to home, it can often be hard to focus on the good things in life. And while a list isn’t going to change the word, it might just give you the breathing space you need.

For any time you feel sad, or lost, or uncertain – here are 100 wonderful things to think about instead.
