Whether that means taking your pup for a photoshoot with Santa and browsing a fabulous twilight Christmas artisan market, or just enjoying the summer vibes, there’s plenty to see, eat and do this week!

Pop Rocks Quiz – final for 2017
Thursday 7 December

Tomorrow is your last chance for the year to get a team together and head down to Dominion League to battle it out in the country’s only retro-themed music and pop culture quiz. Presented by Danger Cabaret with Magnus Danger Magnus at the helm, you know you’ll be in for a good time filled to the brim with trivia and prizes. Entry is free but you do need to register your table (you can do so here) and there are drink specials all night, as well as an $18 burger and beer or cider combo.

Beaufort Street Artisan Markets – Twilight Christmas Market
Friday 8 December

Mary Street Piazza will be transformed on Friday night for a special Twilight Christmas Market. Enjoy a balmy summer’s evening wandering along Beaufort Street and the Piazza and nab yourself the perfect handmade Christmas gift. There will be plenty of places to grab a meal from, as well as entertainment, games and fee tastings, so stick around and take your time browsing the beautiful things from WA artists and creatives.

Live Lighter Manjimup Cherry Harmony Festival
Friday 8 and Saturday 9 December

If you’ve never been to the heart of the Southern Forests region, this is the perfect time of year to plan a visit and celebrate the amazing produce, delicious foods, wines and ciders the region has to offer. You’ll be able to stuff yourself full of sweet cherries while enjoying tonnes of entertainment at this unique community festival. Head to the website for the full program, which includes cooking demonstrations, a vehicle procession, a fashion parade, wine tasting, log chop and a long table dining experience. There’s loads of kids entertainment, street theatre, the timber park to explore, exhibitions, music and more.

Stacks of Summer
Sunday 10 December

If this doesn’t make you feel like summer I don’t know what will. Backyard Events and Caravan & Tonic have teamed up to bring an epic summer festival vibe to the new backyard space at Stackwood Warehouse in Fremantle. Expect cool tunes from local musicians Luke Fox, Ben Catley, Duncan Sage and Wild Oak, food truck eats from Bantastic Mi, Eat No Evil and Delish Ice, as well as icy cold drinks served up from the retro-cute caravan bar. Kick back and relax at the Sunday sesh not to be missed.

Santa Paws
Sunday 10 December

With Santa Paws ready to have his photo taken with your adorable pooch, there’s no excuse for your doggo to miss out on the Christmas excitement. Furbaby Boutique & Café in Westminster is getting a special visit from Santa and you can take your pet along to meet him. Nanna Furbaby will be there handing out special treats and the team knows just how to get a great snap of your dog – for just $10 a pop you’ll get a special digital photo to treasure. And don’t worry, they haven’t forgotten about your cat, ferret, rabbit or bird either, they’ve organised a special session for all the non-canine pets to get in on the action, too.
