The quietly unassuming That Space, which has sprung up in a long-empty spot in Bayswater, is a haven for lovers of all things stylish.
Stocking a quality range of beautiful things with a focus on local brands, it’s the perfect place to grab a bite to eat and spend up big on pretty things for your home or cool gifts for the special someone in your life – your man, your bestie, your mum, your pooch and your little people are all catered to here.
That Space is light and bright, with a minimalist but warm vibe and friendly staff who are happy to stop and have a chat.
Stocked with gorgeous and high quality home wares, lovely candles and skin care, the cutest skull planters (complete with super cool air plants) and other indoor greenery, jewellery, watches, journals and clothing (including the much-loved Girl Boss tees) from an evolving range of brands that have to date included Granite Lane, Lock and Key Clothing, NP Creative, The Botanical Garden, Lana and Diggs, My Little Organics, Media Freedom, Deon Dane and Anika Basics, trust me when I say this is one little shop you’ll keep coming back to.
With the sweet Howdy Coffee serving up brews, doughnuts from Mary Street Bakery, bagels from Hylin and other delicious baked goods (like choc chip cookies sprinkled with sea salt), why not stay awhile? If, like me, you’re not one for coffee but you do have a sweet tooth, That Space has got you covered with ice cream from Stampede Gelato – think peanut butter and jam, salted caramel coconut and salted chocolate (yum).
That Space is a clever concept that has been executed with style, and I can’t wait to see who else gets involved in this cute pop up over the coming months.
You can find That Space at 11 King William Street in Bayswater, open 8:30am to 4:30pm Thursday to Monday.
